Weekend is coming and you are in sunny and warm Fortaleza, so how about taking advantage of what the city has to offer?

If you think that your weekend starts on Thursday (like many people from Fortaleza do), then you won’t be home alone. There are always good things to do and cool places to go to. So, start writing down…

 

Thursday – It’s Crab Night in Fortaleza. Why not go to a big open space with good food and lots of Forró music? That is what Quinta de Forró no Curral do Boi do Sertão offers on that day. Every Thursday, Boi do Sertão opens its doors to you, plenty of cold beer and the Forró band Libanus to start the party around 9:30pm.

Friday – This is the day to go to the biggest night club in Fortaleza and make sure you won’t leave the place before 6h in the morning. I am talking about Mucuripe Club. There is always a cool band outdoors playing some pop/rock songs and beautiful people coming in and waiting for the clubs to open. There are three of them in Mucuripe Club: Usina, Alfândega and Túnel. It’s a must go place.

Saturday – More Forró? This is the popular point for young people from Fortaleza to get together to dance Forró all night long. It’s a bit far away from the city (Eusébio, something around a 20mins drive to get there), but worth it going there: Forró no Sítio. There is always a famous Forró band perfoming there and it is always a busy place, full of people. So make sure you check that one up.

Sunday – The best thing to do on a Sunday is to head to the beach during the day. You have the options to go to Beira Mar or Praia do Futuro in the city and many other options along the coast of our beautiful State. And in the evening, the best place to go is Boteco Bar. A lively place with live band, tables inside and outside the bar, big variety of drinks and the specialty Coxinha de Caranguejo.
